Do I need special hair care products for these wigs?
Yes, because wigs do not have hairs

essentials oils. You need special products tHaute replenish natures natural oils. Also, you want to use special styling products.

 

What are the different grades of hair?
 

-Unprocessed virgin hair- hair is free of chemicals.

-Cuticle hair or Remi hair still has the cuticle in tack but the hair has been treated by mild chemicals. Usually the hair has been colored but it is a very slow process. Allowing the cuticle and hair integrity to remain in tack.

Non cuticle hair- The cuticle has been removed threw a chemical process.

Over processed hair- The cuticle has been removed with a harsh chemical process and the hair has been colored and permed with harsh chemicals. The hair only lasts about 5-7 shampoos before it starts to mat and tangle.


How can you tell the difference between different grades of hair?

 You can tell by feeling the hair. The unprocessed hair and the cuticle hair feels like real hair. Non cuticle and over processed does not have a natural movement it is very stiff.

 How are bonded hair systems applied?

1.Hair is cut down to stubble and the scalp is exfoliated.

2.Hair system placed on your head, with No adhesive yet.  Inorder to find the perfect alignment.  Then marks are made once the piece is in proper alignment.

3.Apply 1-3 thin coats of adhesive allowing each coat to completly before applying the next coat. 

4. After the coat has completly dried apply the system starting at the front and working towards the back.

5. Press down firmly on the system.

6. Then lightly style hair with recommended styling products.  Do not shampoo for 24hours.

She is a salon owner.  Board Certified Hair Colorist.  Sought after by Beauty Trade publication as a  hair enhancement expert.  In addition she was trained by an italian wig maker.  She Designs wigs for theartre products, print advertisements and fashion shows.  She has been featured in numerous publications such as Entrepreneur magazine, Black Enterprise online, Hairs How mag and the Gazett just to name a few.  She knows the latest hair and fashion trends because she travels abroad to study with the best.  She trains with Vidal sasson and Toni and Guy in Paris.
